Akino-atelier.com is owned and ran by Nancy Lam: seamstress, designer, pattern maker. She has been sewing nearly her entire life, inspired by her mother, aunt, and grandmother, all seamstresses before her. Nancy loves to sew, and is constantly thinking of new ideas and new techniques to add to her repertoire.

Nancy is extremely nitpicky with her work, and dedicates much time to ensure each piece is carefully crafted. She likes to take her time and not rush any work, otherwise details would be overlooked or the overall quality would be compromised. To Nancy, sewing is an ongoing learning process, and she is always willing learning new techniques and styles to better her skills.

Cosplay
To Nancy, what is better than cosplaying, is making it! =D She has tons of fun cosplaying, but seeing a work from a picture come to real life in textile form is a huge rewarding experience. She loves to create and be creative in her approach to sewing and constructing. Cosplay offers such a huge variety of different skills, techniques, and materials to be learned and used.
